Our kayaks are “sit-on-top” kayaks. They are a lot more stable and easier to sail compared to traditional kayaks

You will be provided with a undersuit, drysuit, shoes and gloves. You wear your own clothes underneath.

Of course you can! We do recommend using a waterproof camera/phone bag, if you don’t have one don’t worry you can buy one from us.

This is a level easy or moderate kayaking tour so most people should be able to do this tour.

Yes our kayaks are really stable as the are sit-on-top kayaks

Although they are stable this can of course happen. The guide has than necessary equipment and ability to tip them over again. And all participants have life jacket, dry-suit and under suit to stay warm in in case you fall overboard.

Yes it’s very safe. Our experienced guides will provide you with safety instructions prior to going on to the sea.

You can since you are wearing a life-jacket. The guides are always close-by if something happens but of course it is better to be able to swim

To kayak yourself a child needs to be 16 years old.

However we have two dual kayaks that children from 12 can ride in with an adult.

• If we have to cancel because of bad weather we will of course refund you in full or try to arrange a new time with you (if we need to refund you we will refund your card within a week from the scheduled tour)
• You can cancel up to 24 hours before the scheduled departure and receive a full refund.
• No refund if cancelled less than 24 hours before scheduled departure.

No the weather in Iceland can vary. All adventure trips and outdoor activities are dependent on weather and general conditions. We care about your safety and might need to cancel your trip without prior notice as the weather in Iceland can change rather quickly. However if that is the case that we need to cancel your trip because of weather we will of course try to arrange another time or refund you.

1. Prices

Please note that all prices for the services provided by Vesturadventures is in our local currency so we are not responsible for currency fluctuation that might be applied on bank transfer fees, credit card fees etc.

2. Promotional codes

Please note that special offers such as promotional codes cannot be applied afterwards in the form of a refund. When offered, promotional codes and/or other special offers, must be entered into the relevant field located on the payment page upon check out at the time of booking to be valid and applied.

3. Meeting us on location

You need to arrive 10 minutes prior to the scheduled kayaking tour. We will not wait for you if you are late and you will not be refunded.

4. Extras & Rental gear.

We provide a dry suit, under-suit, life-jacket, shoes and gloves. If you want to buy a camera cover you can do that at our office.

5. Travel insurance

Check with your insurance company.

6. Icelandic weather and conditions

All adventure trips and outdoor activities are dependent on weather and general conditions. We care about your safety and might need to cancel your trip without prior notice as the weather in Iceland can change rather quickly. However if that is the case that we need to cancel your trip because of weather we will of course try to arrange another time or refund you.

7. Clothing

We reserve the right to refuse participation to customers who are dressed inappropriately or are not willing to wear our clothes that we provide since this will put the client’s well-being and safety at risk.

8. Alcohol and drugs

We reserve the right to refuse participation to clients we believe are under the influence of alcohol or drugs, in such circumstances, no refund shall be given.

9. Feedback

We welcomes all feedback, both positive as well as negative as it helps us improve our overall services, and performance. We would greatly appreciate it if you could share your tour experience with us and you can also post on social media such as Tripadvisor.

If we need to cancel the trip because of weather or other issues we will refund the credit-card that you paid with ASAP but it can take some time so allow 5 working days to pass and otherwise contact us and we will check this issue
